What does your role as Skipper involve?
“Planning where we’re going to fish, ensuring the crews’ safety and wellbeing are looked after and general crew management.
Keeping the boat clean and operational, and catching plenty of prawns!”
What’s one of the challenges of your role?
“Keeping the spirits high when you don’t catch well – for both the crew and yourself.
That’s fishing at the end of the day: high stress and responsibility for crew.”
“My favourite part is waking up and seeing the sunrise every single day. It never gets old. Other than that I love the thrill of the hunt. The feeling when you find good catches can never be beaten.”
