Austral Fisheries’ Banana Prawns and Tiger Prawns from Australia’s Northern Prawn Fishery (NPF) have been certified as sustainable and well managed by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Austral Fisheries operates 10 of the 52 vessels in the fishery across northern Australia and our Banana Prawns can be found in your local Woolworths and Coles seafood cabinets. Customers can now be at ease when buying local Banana Prawns from the NPF that they are buying a sustainable seafood product.

This is now Austral’s 4th MSC certified fishery, and the third to be certified this year. Now all of the Australian fisheries in which we operate are certified as sustainable and well managed by the MSC.
